I am a specialist in agricultural vehicle restoration and classic car restoration. Here you will find information on my history, the types of restoration work I do and how to contact me.
We offer detailed restoration of many types of classic & agricultural vehicles. Some of the services I can provide are wielding, wooden frame restoration, upholstery restoration, acid dipping and full electrical re-wiring.
Village Vehicles was started in 1996 by me, David Stockley (Dave to just about everyone). As the proud owner of a small village garage, Village Vehicles has served Kimpton and surrounding area since, with servicing and repairs to all kinds of motor vehicles as well as more specialist work on classic car restoration projects.
I’m a Hertfordshire man who grew up on a farm, where I developed my passion for tractors and farm machinery. After finishing school I served my car and truck apprenticeship with a main dealer in St. Albans, where I gained my City & Guilds qualifications. After various jobs in a variety of motor trade environments, I decided in 1996 to become my own boss and have never looked back.
Recently I have decided to dedicate more time to my true passion: restoring and maintaining Classic motor vehicles and tractors (the sort of vehicles I served his apprenticeship working on.) A recent nearby move to more modern facilities making for a brighter, lighter and more comfortable working environment has enabled me to pursue this passion.
